Africa Water Solutions established Solargen as her Social Business Enterprise with the aim of investing in Business ventures that can generate funding for Africa Water Solutions (AWS) charitable interventions. It is also intended to provide a holistic development package to the communities in Uganda by leveraging investment in renewable Energy.

In the process, the Island of Bussi was identified as a potentially suitable sites for the development of distributed energy, generation and distribution business comprising of PV solar Mini-grids for generation, distribution, sell of electricity and maintenance of the same. As a result, the team has embarked on the development process of Bussi mini- grid to achieve the intended goal.
